DALLAS, Pa. – Junior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) matched the program record with a 78 (+6) and The University of Scranton women's golf team cruised past Misericordia in a 353-401 dual match victory on Sunday at Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas.

With the victory, the Royals improve to 2-0 this fall.

This marks the second time in Dowling's career that she has shot a 78 after she previously did in a quad match victory over King's, Marywood and Wilkes on Mar. 28, 2021. She is also one of three student-athletes to shoot a 78 along with Kate Pagano (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) on Sept. 28, 2019 and Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) on Oct. 17, 2021.

Buhler carded an 84 (+12) and Pagano fired an 85 (+13), while both freshman Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa./Scranton Prep) and junior AnnaMarie Palermo (Media, Pa./Merion Mercy Academy) checked in with a 106 (+34).

Jordyn Ruane paced Misericordia with an 89 (+17) on the afternoon.

The Royals return to the course on Sunday, Sept. 18 for a tri-match against King's and Wilkes with tee time at Wyoming Valley Country Club scheduled for 12 p.m.
