Senior Makenzie Mason (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) of The University of Scranton women's basketball team was named to the 2019-20 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team that was announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.
Mason earned the honor for NCAA Division III women's basketball in the Fourth District, which includes all Division III institutions throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Doylestown, Pa., native boasts a 3.32 GPA as an Occupational Therapy major at Scranton.

On the court, Mason and the Lady Royals have won nine straight and sit tied atop the Landmark Conference standings with Catholic with one game remaining. Scranton will clinch the No. 1 seed in next week's Landmark Conference Tournament with a win over Goucher and a Moravian win over Elizabethtown on Saturday.
The senior leads the team in scoring at 13.5 points per game and became the 30th player in program history to score 1,000 career points earlier this season.
The Lady Royals host Goucher to close out the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 22 with opening tip set for 4 p.m.
