Men's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Landmark Championships

TOWSON, Md. – Junior Tim Lanahan (Mendham, N.J./Mendham) led The University of Scranton men's cross country team with a 17th place finish as the Royals took fourth place at the Landmark Conference Championships that were hosted by Goucher College on Saturday.

The Royals finished fourth with 117 points as Moravian won the team title with 33 points.

Here are some of Scranton's highlights from Saturday's championship meet.

  • Lanahan completed the 8,000 meter course in 27:10.7, while sophomore Matthew Felicia (Medford, N.J./Holy Cross Prep) took 20th place with a time of 27:14.6. Freshman Angel Perez (New Haven, Conn./Fairfield Prep) was the top finisher among all freshmen in the conference as he recorded a 21st place finish in 27:17.7
  • Sophomore Liam Fahey (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) finished in 31st place with a time of 28:35.2 and senior Stephen Postupak (Dallas, Pa./Scranton Prep) rounded out the team's top five in 34th place in 28:39.8.

Scranton will return to the course on Saturday, Nov. 12 for the NCAA Mideast Regionals that will be held at West Branch Cross Country Course in Lock Haven, Pa.
