Men's Cross Country Competes at Aubrey Shenk Invitational

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's cross country team posted an 11th place finish at Saturday's Aubrey Shenk Invitational that was hosted by Gettysburg College.

The Royals finished in 11th place with 320 points as Pacers/GRC New Balance captured the team title with 22 points.

Here are some of the highlights from Saturday's meet.

  • Sophomore Matthew Felicia (Medford, N.J./Holy Cross Prep) paced the Royals with a 53rd place finish as he completed the 8,000 meter course in 27:43.3 and senior Daniel Gavin (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) posted a 65th place finish in 28:12.7.
  • Fellow sophomore Eric Lukan (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) finished 76th in 28:34.5 and classmate Liam Fahey (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) was 85th in 28:50.8, while sophomore Tanner Updyke (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) rounded out the team's top five with a time of 29:13.2 in 98th place.

Scranton will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 29 for the Landmark Conference Championships that will be hosted by Goucher College.
