DALLAS, Pa. – Three members of The University of Scranton men's cross country team posted Top 25 finishes and the Royals finished fourth in the team standings at the Misericordia Invitational to open the 2022 campaign on Thursday night in Dallas.
Scranton finished fourth in the team standings with 101 points as Marywood took the team title with 26 points. The Pacers' Jack Baronski won the individual title with a time of 12:19.10.
Here are some of the Royals' highlights from Thursday's meet.
- Junior Tim Lanahan (Mendham, N.J./Mendham) finished ninth to pace the Royals with a personal-best 4K time of 13:20.40.
- Sophomore Christian Snee (Olyphant, Pa./Mid Valley) finished in 21st place as he completed the 4,000 meter course in 14:00.20 and classmate Eric Lukan (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) took 23rd place with a time of 14:15.00.
- Fellow sophomore Matthew Felicia (Medford, N.J./Holy Cross Prep) posted a 27th place finish with a personal-best time of 14:24.00 and classmate Tanner Updyke (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) rounded out the team's top five with a 28th place finish in a personal-best 4K time of his own of 14:25.50.
The Royals return to action on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Lock Haven Invitational with action slated to get underway at 10 a.m.
