Men's Tennis Competes at ITA Northeast Regionals

MADISON, N.J. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team competed on day one of the ITA Northeast Regionals on Friday at host Drew University in Madison.

Seniors James Harrington (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep) and Patrick O'Mara (Pleasantville, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) played in the main singles draw for the Royals, while the duo also teamed up to play in the main doubles draw. Harrington battled Grahith Movva of RIT in the opening round but dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision, while O'Mara fell to Nico Luis Vega of Ithaca in two sets.

In doubles play, the duo fought hard but dropped an 8-3 decision to Guthrie Speers/Hyat Oyer of Hobart.

The Royals will return to the courts in March for the spring season. Stay tuned to as the spring schedule becomes available.
