IMMACULATA, Pa. – The University of Scranton men's tennis team (1-1) won all six singles matches in straight sets and rolled to a 9-0 victory over the Immaculata Mighty Macs (0-1) on Saturday.
Seniors James Harrington (West Chester, Pa./Malvern Prep)/Patrick O'Mara (Pleasantville, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) and classmates Steven Prosperino (Brewster, N.Y./North Salem Central)/Nathan Tauber (Bethlehem, Pa./Nazareth Area) both picked up 8-2 wins in their respective doubles matches at the first and third flights, while junior Jason Budrys (East Hanover, N.J./Hanover Park)/sophomore John Sinclair (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) notched an 8-4 victory in No. 2 doubles.
Harrington rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Immaculata's Jason Watts in No. 1 singles play and O'Mara added a 6-2, 7-5 win over Troy Watts in No. 2 singles. Tauber added a 6-1, 6-2 win of his own in No. 3 singles.
Budrys and Prosperino both completed 6-0, 6-0 sweeps of the Nos. 4 and 6 singles matches on the day to help Scranton take control of the match. Sinclair added a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles.
The Royals hit the road on Wednesday afternoon to take on Lebanon Valley with first serve slated for 4 p.m.
