Harding Paces Men's Golf in Tri-Match Win Over Misericordia & King's

DALLAS, PA (September 20, 2022) -- Sophomore Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) shot a 74 (+2) to earn medalist honors while The University of Scranton men's golf team cruised to a commanding tri-match victory over Misericordia and King's on Tuesday afternoon at Irem Temple Country Club.

Scranton finished with a team score of 305 to take home the win over Misericordia and King's who finished at 338 and 346 respectively. 

Harding notched his second 74 of the season and his third consecutive round in the 70s for the Royals. Finishing right behind him was freshman Jack Novis (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) fired off an impressive round of 75 (+3) in his first action at the course. 

Senior Matthew Fleming (Richboro, Pa. / Council Rock South) carded a 77 (+5) to take third and secure his second round of the year in the 70s. Senior Ethan Zawatski (Dallas, Pa. / Dallas) and sophomore Liam Burtis (Binghamton, N.Y. / Seton Catholic Central) each finished with round of 79 (+7) to round out the lineup for Scranton.

The men's golf team will be back in action on Monday when they head to Saucon Valley Country Club for the Moravian Tournament.
