Novis Leads Men's Golf to Tri-Match Win over Bloomsburg and King's

MOOSIC, PA (September 15, 2022) -- Freshman Jack Novis (Lancaster, Pa. / Lancaster Catholic) earned medalist honors with a round of 74 (+3) and the University of Scranton men's golf team picked up a tri-match win over Bloomsburg and King's College on Thursday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club. 

Scranton shot 310 to take the team title while Bloomsburg finished in second at 326 and King's placed third at 339. With the win the Royals advance to 3-0 to start the fall season.

Joining Novis in the 70s for Scranton were sophomores Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) and Liam Burtis (Binghamton, N.Y. / Seton Catholic Central) who posted rounds of 76 (+5) and 77 (+6) respectively. 

Senior Matthew Fleming (Richboro, Pa. / Council Rock South) carded an 83 (+12) while sophomore Stephen Butler (Souderton, Pa. / Souderton Area) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with an 85 (+14).

The men's golf team is back in action on Tuesday when they take on Misericordia at Irem Temple Country Club at 12:00 PM.
