McLoughlin of Men's Basketball Garners Landmark Athlete of the Week Honors

Sophomore forward Will McLoughlin (Glen Rock, N.J./Glen Rock) of The University of Scranton men's basketball team averaged 16.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in two games last week and has been named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

This marks the first career Landmark weekly award for the Glen Rock, N.J., native.

McLoughlin helped lead the Royals to road victories over Wilkes (63-56) and Stevens (82-61) as he posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win over the Colonels before matching his career-high with 20 points against Stevens. In the victory over the Ducks, he was 7-of-12 from the floor and also added five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

The 20 point effort for McLoughlin tied his previous career-best that had been set in a win over Susquehanna on Jan. 12, 2022.

On the young season for the 4-0 Royals, the sophomore has averaged 15.5 points per game and currently ranks third in the conference in rebounding at 8.0 boards per game.

Scranton is back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 30 versus Eastern with opening tip in the John Long Center slated for 7 p.m.
