Landmark Conference Announces Changes to Men’s and Women’s Basketball Playoff Schedules

Due to the inclement weather forecasted within the Landmark Conference footprint for Wednesday, February 20, the conference office has announced changes to the men's and women's basketball playoff schedules.

All semifinal games will now be played on Thursday, February 21, starting at 7 p.m. 

Additionally, the championship games have been pushed back to Sunday, February 24, starting at 1 p.m. on the campus of the highest remaining seeds.

The semifinal round was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday while the championship games had previously been scheduled for Saturday.

The top-seeded University of Scranton women's basketball team will host fourth-seeded Moravian at 7 p.m. on Thursday in a semifinal matchup in the Long Center.  The Lady Royals swept both games from the Greyhounds during the regular season. 

Second-seeded Elizabethtown hosts No. 3 Catholic in Thursday's other women's basketball semifinal game.

If Scranton wins on Thursday, it would host the Landmark Conference championship game on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Scranton's men's basketball team, the #4 seed in this year's postseason tournament, will visit top-seeded Drew for a semifinal matchup on Thursday night starting at 7 p.m. in Madison, N.J.  The Royals and Rangers split their series during the regular season with the home team winning both times.

Second-seeded Moravian hosts third-seeded Susquehanna in Thursday's other men's basketball semifina contest.

With a win on Thursday, the Royals would hit the road on Sunday for the Landmark Conference championship game which will start at 1 p.m.

Tickets to all Landmark Conference playoff games are $7 for adults and $4 for seniors and students.  Any student, faculty, or staff with a Landmark Conference institution ID, along with children ages 10 and under, will be admitted free of charge.
