Scranton's women's team enter Saturday's game ranked 3rd in the nation by d3hoops.com and 4th by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The Lady Royals are a perfect 14-0 this season and 3-0 in Landmark Conference games following a 72-45 victory over Moravian on Wednesday night.
The Lady Royals will look to remain unbeaten against a Catholic squad that will bring a 9-5 (1-2 Landmark) record to Scranton. The Cardinals picked up their first conference victory on Wednesday evening by defeating Juniata, 64-40.
Scranton's men's team is looking to snap a two-game skid after the Royals won their first 12 games of the season. Scranton (12-2, 1-2 Landmark), which is receiving votes in the latest d3hoops.com national top 25 poll, dropped an 80-67 decision on Wednesday at defending conference champion Moravian.
Catholic's men's team is currently 6-8 overall and 2-1 in Landmark Conference action following an 88-79 triumph at Juniata on Wednesday. The Cardinals eliminated the Royals from the playoff picture last season with a three-pointer at the buzzer in the final game of the regular season at Moravian to claim the fourth and final postseason bid to the conference tournament.
