January 12, 2021The University of Scranton department of athletics announced Tuesday afternoon that they plan to move forward with details laid out Monday by the Landmark Conference to begin competition in several winter sports beginning in early February. -

Legendary University of Scranton Men’s Basketball Head Coach Bob Bessoir Passes Away
December 30, 2020Bob Bessoir, a fixture throughout The University of Scranton's Department of Athletics for almost 50 years who went on to put the Royals men's basketball program on the national map in his 29-year tenure as head coach, passed away Wednesday morning at his home. He was 88. -

Byrne, Donnelly Earn CSCAA Scholar All-American Accolades
July 10, 2020Two members of The University of Scranton swimming & diving teams were named to the 2019-20 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team, as juniors Lauren Byrne (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) and Jack Donnelly (Washington Crossing, Pa./Council Rock North) earned selections to the team, which was announced earlier this week.
