Senior guard Bridgette Mann (Canadensis, Pa./Wallenpaupack) has put together quite a career already for The University of Scranton women's basketball team, making it easy to expect big things in the upcoming season. On Thursday, D3hoops.com reinforced that belief by naming Mann a preseason first-team All-American.

Mann is coming off a junior campaign in which she was named a third-team All-American by D3hoops.com and an honorable mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. She was also the D3hoops.com Mid-Atlantic Region Player of the Year, the Landmark Conference Player of the Year and the Landmark Conference Championship MVP. Her play helped the Lady Royals go 28-2, win the Landmark Conference title and reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Last season, Mann averaged 15.3 points while shooting 38.8 percent from 3-point range and 86.0 percent from the free throw line. She scored in double figures in 26 of 30 games, including a career-high 34 points, tied for the seventh-highest total in program history, in a win over Drew on Feb. 8 in the Long Center. Her 71 made 3-pointers on the season are the most in Lady Royals history.

Mann wasn't just a scorer, though. She dished out 3.2 assists per game and also averaged 4.5 rebounds and 0.5 steals per game.

For her career, Mann averages 13.3 points, 3.4 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals per game. She has a 3-point percentage of 37.1, which is fourth-best in team history, and her 180 made 3-pointers are second in program history. She also ranks second in Lady Royals' history in career free throw percentage at 84.0.

Mann and the Lady Royals will open their 2018-19 season on Friday, Nov. 16, when they take on King's in the Cross-County Challenge at Marywood at 6 p.m.
