Men's And Women's Soccer Earn Academic Awards From United Soccer Coaches

The University of Scranton men's and women's soccer teams have earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year, according to a release from the organization on Thursday.

The Team Academic Award recognizes men's and women's soccer teams with a cumulative grade-point average for the academic year of at least 3.0. Head coach Colleen Pivirotto's women's soccer team posted a 3.52 GPA while head coach Matt Pivirotto's men's team had a 3.19 GPA for the year.

Scranton is one of 195 institutions across all three divisions of the NCAA to have its men's and women's teams recognized.
