Sage Resigns From Men's Lacrosse Post

University of Scranton director of athletics Dave Martin announced today that men's lacrosse head coach Doug Sage has resigned to pursue an opportunity at another institution. A national search for his replacement will begin immediately.

Sage, who accepted the head coaching job at Drew University in Madison, N.J., was the head coach of the Royals for five seasons. He led the team to an overall record of 47-35 (.573) and Landmark Conference playoff berths in each of the five seasons.

The Royals are set to move into the new Kevin P. Quinn Athletics Campus in the spring of 2018. The team has enjoyed seven straight winning seasons and nine of the past 10, including a Landmark Conference championship in 2011.
